Have you always wanted to play the guitar?
You love music.
You want to learn your favorite songs, play for your family and friends, and maybe even write something of your own.
You imagine what life would be like if you could only play the music you hear in your head.
But something’s holding you back
First off, you’re not alone! Aspiring players get hung up for loads of reasons:
- You might be a brand new beginner without a clue how to get started.
- Maybe you tried teaching yourself (YouTube, anyone?) but only ended up frustrated.
- You might even have played for a while, but been stuck at the same level for months—or even years—and you can’t figure out why you’re not getting any better.
- Finally, maybe there aren’t many local teachers in your area or driving is impractical.
Fortunately there’s a solution.
The good news
There are a lot of myths out there about what it takes to be a good guitar player.
The biggest one is that it’s about talent–either you “got it” or you don’t.
But guess what?
It’s not true! (Shocking, right?)
Learning to play well is really about getting a solid foundation. Finding the right instruction. Having a teacher who meets you where you are and helps you take your next steps.
The truth is, if you want it, you can do this!
Just because you didn’t start playing at 5 years old doesn’t mean you’re behind or it’s too late to learn. You can start anytime. I know, because I learned as an adult.
All you need is the right approach, inspiring people around you, and the desire to make it happen.
And you don’t even have to take my word for it
I’ve taught students of all levels for over 15 years:
- I’ve helped brand new beginners from ages 4 to 74 learn music they love.
- I’ve helped intermediate students break bad habits and become better players.
- I’ve helped experienced players who felt stuck to master new skills and enjoy music again.
Here’s what my students say:
Lessons with Leanne was the answer! Leanne teaches me new techniques and skills that have made me excited about playing again. She chooses music that I enjoy and look forward to practicing. Leanne is a kind and patient teacher; I look forward to each new lesson! — Katie, Moon Township, PA.
Seeing my daughter improve and grow these last 8 months of playing guitar with Leanne has inspired me to buy a guitar and learn so I can play along with my child. — Vic, Pittsburgh, PA.
I know more songs than I ever did after only a few months of studying with you. And you have made a number of suggestions about playing the guitar that professionals know but no one ever showed me before. I enjoy playing the guitar now more than ever. — Craig, Pittsburgh, PA.
Here’s how it works
Step 1
We’ll get on the phone or video chat to talk about your goals and see if online lessons are right for you.
Step 2
I’ll help you set up your camera, install the Zoom software (it’s easy!), and share docs via a Box account (also easy).
Step 3
We’ll meet 1-on-1, online, twice a month for 50 minutes. You’ll learn complete songs right away and you’ll make faster progress than you ever thought you could (especially on your own.)
You’ll also get email access to me in between lessons so you never feel stuck, plus practice accountability and membership in a supportive online community.
So tell me…
Are you ready to become the player you’ve always wanted to be?
Are you ready to move past whatever’s been holding you back?
Are you excited about learning and mastering your favorite tunes, playing for friends and family, and finally being able to jam with your friends with confidence?
Then don’t waste another minute dreaming and hoping. Take the next step and let’s talk.
Stop wishing you could play like your idols. Start becoming the best you can be today!
